TOTAL-FISHING has learned that there are still 10 places left for the forthcoming Virgin’s Festival at Cornish holiday complex White Acres starting on June 7th.

The unique event is aimed at anglers who have never won at the venue, and is generously sponsored by tackle firm Daiwa with a prize pot worth over £2000.

And despite it being limited to 72 anglers, there is a massive selection of prizes up for grabs including:

– The new Will Raison Match Winner 811 pole package, worth £1150!
– The Match Winner 14ft  Power Distance float rod
– The Match Winner 13ft Power float rod
– The Match Winner 11/13ft Power Feeder rod
– 20 sets of Hydrolastic pole elastic.

In addition to all that, the Virgins’ champion will walk away with £1000 prize money!

The whole point of the festival is to give a chance to those who would love to match fish at the venue but feel they simply could not compete with the local experts
Fishery manager Clint Elliot is strictly monitoring entries to ensure there are no ‘ringers’ and any angler to which the criteria below applies CANNOT fish:

– Those that have accumulated more that 4 Kamasan Points in a single series
– Those who have won an open match with 30 or more pegs
– Those who have won a Rover or Residents match at White Acres
– Those who have won a section or lake on a normal White Acres festival
– Anyone who fishes for a team or is personally sponsored by a fishing tackle or bait manufacturer

“Don’t try and sneak in through the back door. I can sniff out non-virgins a long way off!” joked Clint. “Remember you can only lose your virginity once, and 2003 is as good a year as any.”

The first ever Virgins Festival will be held over four days with anglers fishing different sections each day on a rotation basis.

Caerleon Canal wil be one of the venues used

The matches will be fished on the new complex at White Acres, most of which opened last year. The lakes are all purpose built and are heavily stocked so even YOU can catch plenty!

The eventual winner is GUARANTEED to walk away with over £1,000 in cash, plus the brilliant Daiwa 811 pole package. What’s more Sky Sports will be there to cover part of the event and England’s Will Raison hopes to hand out the prizes, and if you want to stay on for the Fish O Mania final that follows the festival, all the better.

Entry is £80, plus an optional £10 Super Pool, which will ALL be paid out in cash, and several Total-Fishing forum regulars have already entered, so you will be among friends.

If you want to come down with your family, fine, but single virgins can form groups of a maximum of three people. Alternatively book alone and White Acres will accommodate you in one of our luxury caravans with one or two other like-minded souls. You will of course have your own bedroom.

Accommodation costs for sharers is £150 for the week, but if you feel lucky and want your own space, ask at the time of booking and your accommodation will be priced at tariff per unit.
