REPORT

MOLANDS Typical autumn fishing with it fishing well one day then really hard the next. F1s nets to over 100lb have been caught along with carp to high double figures and the odd tench and decent skimmers. The maggot is starting to dominate with maggot feeder fished across to the island or ¾ way across and pole with maggot at 10 – 13 metres or down the margins. Caster and worm are also catching a few too. Best pegs are 2 – 15, 23, 29, 43 – 46 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS Gearys has been in decent form over the last week with 100lb nets of carp and some good quality fish coming out. Carp to over 18lb have been caught in matches with lots of double figure fish putting in a late appearance. Bomb or pellet waggler is the best tactic in matches with pleasure anglers finding boilies fished out to the middle stumps best. The skimmers and crucians are providing decent sport as well with nets to over 50lb coming to maggot or caster fished at
5 – 10 metres with the high bank pegs 7 – 13 providing the best chance of good nets.

LITTLE GEARYS Still not producing the big weights that we are used to off Little Gearys but good fair fishing in matches with weights to around 60lb best. Like all of the pools natural baits such as maggot, caster and worm are best at the moment with waggler or maggot feeder fished across and down the margins with caster or maggot.

GRATUITIES Still hard with the water still clear. Carp are coming to bomb or waggler with punched bread or corn. Caster or maggot fished down the middle is providing plenty of bites from silvers with skimmers, crucians and roach in nets to 20lb+.

WILLOW Fished a little hard this week with the carp and F1s switching off. The better catches have come from the pegs where you can reach the island and dobbing bread is accounting for nets to 50lb. Caster or maggot fished down the middle is proving mixed nets of F1s, skimmers and the odd trench or crucian.

SIBLINGS A (Doughnut) Really slowed down as the water has cleared a little leading to the fish shoaling up or seeking cover under the far bank growth. Punched bread or corn fished tight up or into the gaps of the island are accounting for the better nets.

SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe) Still not fishing as well as it should with the F1s being very finicky providing plenty of bites but hard to hook. Nets to 40lb have been best with maggot fished over micros down the middle the top tactic.
