Last week there were 63 rods caught 113 fish for an average of 1.80.

There has been a slight improvement in the fishing but still not as good as we would want it to be.The fish are still tending to shoal and the unseasonally warm conditions are not helping.

The weeks largest fish was a 6lb rainbow caught by Mr K Harman of Leicester who took it on a damsel nymph whilst fishing Cocks close from the bank.Harold Pritchett of Mancetter found a large shoal of fish around the old boat jetty corner on Cocks close and he used a cruncher nymph to net 20 fish to 4lb which were all caught and released,Harold found fishing the flies really quick was best.Dave Bratby of Birmingham had 6 fish from the bank of Cocks close with the biggest going just over 4lb and these all came to a black buzzer fished on a floating line.

On the Park Meadow pool, Mark Goldney of Coventry had 8 fish to 4lb 8oz which came hot olive damsels and blobs whilst fishing off the dam wall bank.

Imitative patterns accounted for most fish caught this week with Buzzers, Diawl Bach, Crunchers, damsels and Pheasant Tail the pick of the Nymphs.

The lodge corner and the old boat jetty area on Cocks Close have been best. On Park Meadow, the far bank or the dam wall from the boat jetty is best.
