FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Fished ok this week with match weights to 140lb , carp to 24lb , f1s to 8lb and tench to 6lbs coming out. In the matches the best approach has been to start off fishing tight to the island with method feeder,,waggler or bomb/pellet and finish the match down the near margin on hard pellet or meat. The bigger carp are coming to surface baits or fishing close in down the margins with boilies or corn.

GEARYS Fished well in areas this week with match weights to 150lb with pegs 6-20 the better pegs. Bomb or waggler with 8mm pellet, method feeder and long pole with 6mm pellet on the deck or shallow have all worked well in matches .There were some great catches of silvers up to 80lbs caught this week as well with expander pellet ,worm or caster fished over micros or groundbait doing the business.

LITTLE GEARYS Still fishing ok but not at its prolific best with nets of F1s and carp to around 100lb this week. The fish are still wanting to be tight to the island or close in from the margins with method feeder, bomb or waggler and pellet for the island and caster, corn or pellet fishing down the edges working best. The middle of each straight from pegs 7 – 15 or the far side and 23 – 29 have been the top pegs.

GRATUITIES Good mixed bags reported this week with carp, F1s, crucians, skimmers and the odd tench coming out to float fished corn, soft pellet or maggot fished over ground bait or micros. The bigger carp being caught off the top and also on a feeder fished up to the island.

WILLOW .Carp and f1s have been showing all around the pool in nets to 1oolb Long pole with pellet, dead reds or caster fishing down the margins or across to the island where you can reach has been successful. Bigger carp to 18lb are coming tp boilies or surface baits .

ANNIVERSARIES Caster or pellet on the deck or shallow have been top tactics for nets to 70lbs mainly of f1s from 1-4lbs but paste or corn fished down the edges has also worked well. The bigger carp showing on the top with fish to 15lb coming to floaters or paste fished close to the features.

SIBLINGS A Fished well this week with nets to over 150lb with the carp in particular feeding with lots of fish from 6-10lbs coming out along with good numbers of f1s. Pole with caster or maggot tight across to the island shallow and on the deck has been the top tactic with paste and meat also working for some.

SIBLINGS B A little slower this week with F1 nets to around 75lb best with a few better sized carp to double figures featuring as well. Pole fished pellet or caster on the deck or shallow across to the far bank has worked best with paste, worm and maggot also accounting for some decent nets.
