FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 29/10/17

Last week there were 44 rods caught 65 fish for an average of 1.47.

It has been another tough week on the Trout Fishery with the fish still shoaling and gorging themselves on Daphnia. A few frosts should see sport improve with the fish dispersing and more willing to chase.

The biggest fish of the week was a 6lb rainbow caught by Graham Ashby of Fillongley and this was caught off the bank of Cocks Close and came to a Gold Head Nymph. Ray Inman of Birmingham caught nine from the bank of Cocks Close fishing on the old boat jetty cutting and he found a few fish willing to chase his Cats Whisker Lure with fish to 3lb. Rod Lacey of Nuneaton caught seven from a boat on Cocks Close and these all came to his favoured Diawl Bach fished on a floating line.

On Park Meadow, Andrew Moulder of Dorridge caught eight fish to 4lb using a small claret Buzzer.
