Last week 75 rods caught 285 fish for an average of 3.80 fish per rod

The fishing has been challenging this week with lots of fish moving on the top but are becoming increasingly harder to tempt. Small imitative patterns are best with Diawl Bach, Suspended Buzzer, Hopper, Olives, Superglue Buzzer and Tups Indispensable pick of the flies this week. Fish are moving all over both pools but the best areas have been the lodge end of Cocks Close and the far side from the boat jetty on Park Meadow.

The largest fish of the week was a 7lb 8oz rainbow caught by Mark Goldney of Nuneaton who was fishing from the bank of Cocks Close and he tempted it along with seven other rainbows on CDC Emergers and Buzzers. Alex Kerr of Nuneaton had his limit of five fish and released a further six including a rainbow of 6lb 8oz from Cocks Close and again Buzzer was the successful fly. Paul Fleeman of Redditch had a good day from a boat on Cocks Close catching and releasing over 20 fish to 5lb on small Klinkhammer dries.

On Park Meadow, French visitor Michael Luke caught a 7lb fish on a small Buzzer fished on a floating line. Alan Bowen of Birmingham had seven fish which included a rainbow of 5lb and a brown of 4lb+ from a boat also from Park Meadow which came to small black Buzzers on a floating line.

The Fishery is open from 8am until dusk.
